This Welcome Guide, has been driven from the strategy for the management of cultural diversity Together In the same direction, initiative that has been running since 2009 by the Employment, Trade, Industry and Socioeconomic Development Area of ​​the Cabildo de Tenerife and from the University of La Laguna, through its General Foundation.
Together In the same direction, its main objectives are to build a cohesive, participatory intercultural society proud of its diversity.
To this end, it is organized around ten working groups that address specific issues (prevention of racism and xenophobia, fight against gender violence, education for development, social and civic participation, child and youth participation, interreligious dialogue).
with the positive management of cultural diversity, proposing and carrying out actions in the neighborhoods and cities of the Island that allow achieving these objectives.
In these working groups any person, entity, collective or public administration may participate, so that the objectives, contents and actions that are addressed start from the company itself.
With the combination of several participatory methodologies and giving special importance to the creation of meeting spaces and relationships among people, it is contributing to the consolidation of an Island that lives, feels and positively values ​​cultural diversity.
